Reversible Leather Belts for Men

A reversible belt is the most useful belt you can own: one strap, two finishes, and a buckle that rotates so you can switch between them in a few seconds. Black on one side for formal wear, brown or tan on the other for everything else. It means one belt in your bag instead of two, which is why it is the belt most people end up travelling with.

How the mechanism works

The buckle is fixed to the strap with a pivot rather than a stitched loop. You unclip or turn the buckle a half-turn, flip the strap over, and lock it back into place - no tools, no re-threading. Because the mechanism carries the load, a reversible belt is worth inspecting more carefully than a plain one: the pivot should turn firmly with no play in it, and both faces of the strap should be finished properly rather than one side being a printed backing.

Sizing

Measure a belt you already own from the buckle prong to the hole you use most, and pick the size whose middle hole matches. That leaves adjustment on both sides. If you fall between two sizes, take the larger one - the strap can be trimmed down.
